“POBL/ PEOPLE”
A new Work by Cai Tomos
‘We are all made of the same stuff, just shaped differently by the world and by the people that inhabit it”
In our lifetime we meet thousands upon thousands of people.
Some People we forget, some we remember, for the good and for the bad. Some we chose to forget and some
We forget to remember about.
During this performance,
Cai will attempt to describe physically the people he has met.
He will attempt bring them back from memory, through the body,
Through transformation,
Through metamorphosis of movements.
Truthful/untruthful, accurate and made up
He will invite into the body, imagined people and bring them to life. He will imagine those he has still to meet, and never will.
What people in us, do we present to the world.
Where are “We” the real “I” amongst all these voices that have shaped us.
How do we find ourselves amongst the Crowd?
Though dance, image, and live sound scores of voices and music by Meilyr Tomos.
A tapestry of people will be woven.
Leaving us perhaps to question, as if standing alone at the end of a party, when all the people are gone…
Who am I then?

The mind, the heart, and what it is to be human: celebrating the ordinary, the mundane and extraordinary journey of being human.
